but at the moment, I don't. . .
. . .so I have someone here today doing all sorts of minor electrical and plumbing jobs that I have neither the tools nor the knowledge to complete myself
perhaps this is short sighted of me? perhaps I should have spent the money on DIY evening classes and some equipment. . .
but I figured that sometimes in life one has to take the easier option, when the short term solution will suffice rather than looking for a longer term outcome
I hope you're achieving something constructive today
or perhaps you're just taking it easy!
happy day, whichever

Just got in from doing some DIY in my workshop. Back out again to do some digging, after a spot of lunch.
I have two toolboxes.
My X issued me with a tool box when I left. For years I couldn't understand why it had a 7 on it. Then one day I looked at it from the otherside and realised it was an 'L'. (My initial)
I can be dim.
I have a Tool Box and I am not afraid to use it...for a doorstop.
Actually I am becoming quite handy and have fixed a number of things around the house...or just moved the furniture over so that I don't have to stare at whatever is irritating my good-lady-wife.
and what were you before you were handy Donnnnnnnnnnnnnn? actualy, maybe don't answer that!
ZigZ I don't think that's dim - I'm amazed you looked at it for years actually! (reminds me of writing shell oil on a calculator all those years ago)
Dave I think you're showing off now - not only do you have two toolboxes, but you also have a workshop. . .
how do you spell actually? actualy?
I think I'm going senile
Well, I thought I had a toolbox--until himself assured me it was a tackle box I stuck tools IN......so what?! WORKED!!
But--WE have a toolbox now.
k.....
HE has a toolbox now.
*I* still have the tackle box with the tools shoved in it. Yaknow, the one with the whimpy hammer. *rolling eyes*
I have a moderately well stocked toolbox which is in storage.
I keep tools in it...and other things. Old keys. metal caps from champagne bottles. the little kits they sell for picture hanging. other stuff I can't remember.
by the way...being a connery fan it only took me a moment to get the odd job reference. very very clever.
I guess he was employed because he was more than handy with his hat, rather anything he might have had in his toolbox. . .
I have a nice little case with a few useful items in it. The odd screwdriver, pliers, stuff like that.
Barney says they're all rubbish tools - which is odd because he gave me the kit. Also because he often borrows it.
