I'm in need of cheering up, and I thought this might do it:

(biggest selling British single of 1982. . . what were you up to in 1982?)

ah...1982

the best of times...the worst of times.

my daughter Rhiannon was born two days before 1982...it was a wonderful wonderful time....she still is one of the joys of my life.

at the end of 1982 I lost my brother to a car accident....it was a long time ago...but it changed the course of my life.

I think I might remember more individual specific details of 1982 than of any other year....

1982: Busy looking after twins, born September 1981. Don't remember anything else about it. The twins tended to be full-time work.

Oh wait........1982--boycotting compact disc players, watching Cheers and hoping that the tylenol I'd taken wasn't laced with cyanide.

Oh....and undoubtedly listening to Billy Joel.

<--still has the 52nd Street album
(not CD--was boycotting them...see above!)
