would you think you'd failed your child if

they didn't know what a knickerbocker-glory was?

if that's a bit much, you're welcome to either the fruit or the jelly or the ice-cream (we're skipping the squirty cream - I don't do squirty cream) individually. . .

. . .or popcorn, Crunchies or an apple from the side bar

I don't know what a knicker-bocker-glory is. But yes, I have failed as a parent.

and thank you for the hug - I needed that this evening. . .

and, yes - exactly, an upright banananananananana split. . . kind of. . . in a tall glass that has to be just the right shape. . . eaten with a spoon. . . with all sorts of bits and pieces (depending on what's in your cupboard and your fridge/freezer!)

sigh...not only did my parents fail me...but I have failed my children...heavy sigh...

What's wrong with a nice healthy breakfast? There's fruit in it, isn't there?

I'm not sure if I failed mine or not.
I'm pretty sure we never gave them any. And surely, if they'd seen such a thing of wonder they'd have pointed out the omission. Perhaps the shame was so great I wiped it out of my memory.

*squinting*

I think I see fruit in there.

And syrupy stuff.
So it's kinda sorta like pancakes...if you stretch your brain a bit.

It's Saturday.
Betcha they're allowed on Saturdays....

*nodding*
Especially Saturday mornings!

Mel said...

k....well, it's almost Saturday noon for you folks.....

CERTAINLY it's allowed by noon!

:-)

Happy Noonishtime over there!!

If you don't know what a Knickerbocker Glory is, you can't really work it out from the name, can you? A bit like 'honeymoon' ...
