calling up the weather man

I woke up this morning
Hated to get out of bed
But I called up the weather man and this is what he said:
"Yes it's a good day for singing a song
And it's a good day for moving along
Yes it's a good day
How can anything go wrong?
'Cause Monday thru Sunday
You gotta find it someday
There's gonna be a good day for you"
.
Yes, it's a good day for shining your shoes
And it's a good day for losing the blues;
Everything to gain and nothing' to lose,
'Cause it's a good day from morning' till night
I said to the sun,
"Good morning sun
Rise and shine today!"
You know you've gotta get going
If you're gonna make a showin'
And you know you've got the right of way.

'Cause it's a good day for paying your bills;
And it's a good day for curing your ills,
So take a deep breath and throw away your pills;
'Cause it's a good day from morning' till night.

I hadn't

and it took four rewinds of the recording* to get the lyrics and track it down thru google. . .

(*it was used in a Tropicana ad in the middle of something the children had recorded from the tv to watch)

I thought it was enchanting

sending ((hugs)) and *peacefilled thoughts* (Mel style - those really work you know) to your side of The Pond and the US of A tonight

*HUGE hugs*

good

good

and tonight too, dearheart, when you get there. . .

I'm going to sleep hugging my pillow (that really works, yaknow - best piece of practical advice I've had: thinking you kindly!)(x) (and thank you too for the hugs - I needed those!)

I really like this song. . . a small snatch of it is used in an ad for Tropicana orange juice

(it's a bit like the Beep Beep song, people google the lyrics. . .)

what's weird tho is that I can't find a version of the song with her singing the lines from the lyrics that are used in the advert

oh well! I think I have more important things to worry about really
