the only trouble is. . .
. . .I keep thinking of words like quarrelsome and quibbling
oh, actually, I'll think in pictures shall I?

Oh, and I went straight to quiet and quirkiness and quench and quilt!
:-)
quirkiness is really good!! and quench. . . yes. . .
quilts I can't get enough of (am currently collecting lots of velvets for an easier-to-make-than-I'd-originally-planned Kilmt quilt)
but it's not noisey enough round here for me to want quiet
peace, maybe, but not quiet (if you see what I mean)
No, I was going to mention a 4-letter word starting with Q, that sounds slightly Shakespearian, but I thought I'd wait for the picture instead.
oh crikey
I forgot quack and quad and queue and query and question and quicksilver and quinine and quintissential and quiz and and and
erm, what was yours?
I was going to say quintessential but you've already remembered :(
have we had quaint?
QUI*
Quince, quagmire, Qatar (no 'U'!), quizzling
shot I did have a picture of quince jelly, but passed over it for some reason
Qatar always reminds me of having a nasty cold
Dave is that quit or quip, or just a little quiz
oh, I forgot quid (not suprising, seeing as it's the end of the month)
ZigZ quaint is a good one!
Mmmm. I think it must be,
Quotient, quotidian and I'd have bet quids you'd have quotes in your quest.
Likewise, quoits (didn't you once have some in your sidebar?) and, just to prove "u" doesn't always feature...qwerty is still around.
Quad erat demonstrandum.
QUOTES!!!!!
argh - how did I forget that?
and qwerty. . . that's brilliant dinahmow - thanks!
hmmmmmmmmmmmm
(-:
think I'll have to revisit this, maybe tomorrow

Dave you tease. . .
Ohhhhhhh......don't forget the quacking duckie slippers! :-)
That's kinda my favoritest at the moment......
Who, me? I know you don't do rude here.
oh wow...you're gonna do the Kilmt quilt...do you know the pattern?
originally - years ago now - I was going to make a quilt like the cape of the woman in The Kiss. . . with all the little spirally details and the blocks of colour and the ovals and and and
now I think I'm just going to be inspired by the colours and the gold and the silvers - only problem is, my sewing machine is broken; I'll need to get that fixed first before I attempt a quilt
so, I guess, the answer is I have books and a poster for inspiration, but was going to make the pattern up
