it's friday again - ho hum

this week I have been eating Waldorf Salad. . .

mainly because I was fed up with eating Caesar Salad, which I'd been eating for months. . .

my Waldorf Salad doesn't look like that tho, I only put in apple (Pink Ladys), walnuts and celery in mine - sounds dull, but I grate lots of black pepper on the top and douse it in enough dressing to keep a medium sized river barge afloat in a generously proportioned swimming-pool; and why do I eat salad? because I miss cooking for two - I realised that yesterday, when I was reading about chicken tikka masala

just reading about it made my mouth water (I didn't dribble tho)

perhaps this weekend I should cook a meal for one? a proper meal, I mean

I'll need to think about that - in the meantime, please help yourself to the regular treats from the side bar!

I used to like making myself creamy, herby mushroom things to eat with rice or mash. I still do when himself is away :)

actually, think about it - reading about Barney's curries usually makes me really hungry too!

Must I select from the side bar or is there a salad bar option?

I had a great apple at work today. It was red. *nodding* That's how much *I* know about apples.
Frankly--'cept for the ladened with dressing part--Waldorf salad sounds kind good about now.....but it's nearing midnight and the kitchen isn't exactly where I oughta be headed...sooooooooo........

<-- needs it to be the end of the work week so I'll take the Friday and be grateful

(but I do understand your stance on Fridays......)

I like waldorf salad but better than caesar...

it is not as fun to cook for one...but it might be worth it every now and again...

birthday?

I cook proper meals for six. Then freeze five portions for future days.

I, Like The View said...

I do that with the children's food Dave but most of the things I used to like to cook for two don't freeze. . .

katherine it's not my birthday - have no idea how that came up! I'm seriously thinking of cooking for one for fun!

Mel you could forgo the dressing and just splash a little balsamic vinegar on - works a treat; I don't like raisins, but dates work quite well if chopped up fine

hope your Friday is a good one!

Jerry have no clue why it might be my birthday!

Donnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn perhaps I ought to pretend it's my birthday - have a bit of fun! why not? thanks for your very early good wishes anyhow!

shot I'll find some more salad for you

Thank you. A hot air baloon flight will go down very nicely. Perhaps in the summer. Bit cold now.
