camera - cable - action

well, that's the theory anyhow

yesterday I worked out how the newly charged battery fits back into the camera (the nice man in the shop took it out for me, and I must admit I didn't really pay attention) and how to connect the camera via the cable to the computer (the little hole next to the one that the ethernet cable it attached to, in case you're curious) and then panicked a little as I didn't know how to download the photos. . .
.
. . .but I needn't have worried because there seems to be one of those automatic wizards sitting about inside my laptop who was pleased to be given something to do and he sorted it all out for me

why aren't these things called witches? they can be just as helpful, in fact more so if you're familiar with Terry Pratchett's bunch of magical XYs and XXs

not that Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg and Magrat would have much truck with cameras and cables and computers

I have

truck, I mean

and to that effect, today I intend to take some photos and show you various things that I have been working on. . .

it's a good intention and I hope to keep it
do you have any today?

Except for that which is necessary, I have no intentions on this day.

But I look eagerly forward to seeing your photos. (ooh, is that an intention?)

And I have every intention of making the full day at work--with this headache, it might be pushin' it.

Maybe I just need more coffee?

Ah......and I see we have some brewed fresh! :-)

the wizard/witch thing...

my guess is that most software and computer engineers back in the day were male...and witches can be troublemakers....not everyone likes witches...I don't think I'd like one in my computer.

I think that witches got a bad deal - why do they mostly get such a bad press? (ZigZ excepted, of course)

however, Mr Pratchett set the record straight in Discworld - the wizards are all a load of bumbling old men who gossip and eat a lot, and the witches actually do the hard work and get the jobs done to everyone's satisfaction!

Mel I hope your headache cleared too

(((((((((((((you))))))))))))

shot erm, it seems I have been distracted by finishing the painting. . . tomorrow perhaps

but no promises

some day. . . and that is a promise

Well, I'll have you know the headache sorta just 'disappeared' in the mist of showing up at work and discovering it was another 'voice of reason' day.

Seems to be a whole truckload of those days happenin' as of late...ah well, if not me then who, eh?

Gosh, I guess that means my bestest intentions turned into reality!
That's kinda cool, all things considered.

I'm glad Mel
