.
When the rain is blowing in your face
And the whole world is on your case
I could offer you a warm embrace
To make you feel my love
..
.
When the evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one there to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love
.
.
I know you haven't made your mind up yet
But I would never do you wrong
I've known it from the moment that we met
No doubt in my mind where you belong
.

I'd go hungry, I'd go black and blue
I'd go crawling down the avenue
There's nothing that I wouldn't do
To make you feel my love
.
.
The storms are raging on the rollin' sea
And on the highway of regret
The winds of change are blowing wild and free
You ain't seen nothing like me yet
I could make you happy, make your dreams come true
Nothing that I wouldn't do
Go to the ends of the earth for you
To make you feel my love
..
.

Hope Floats.

I sat here trying to remember--and smiled when it popped up in my brain. (no googling--it's good exercise for the brain every once in a while)

Hope floats.
Doesn't that just make for wonderful pictures in your head--does for mine.......

I, Like The View said...

I'm lost. . . Hope Floats? (have very little functioning brain, will have to google!)

Yup. Sandra Bullock movie--a chick flick, no less. LOL

I was sitting here conjurring up all sorts of images from the words alone.

Hope, floats.
Wonderful images of whispy, soft, loving things.

(could be lack of caffeine on my part....LOL...or just that creative imagination I possess...or both?)

at first I didn't have images on it, cos the words speak for themselves, then I got carried away a little. . .

a chick flick, huh? have to go find me some hens then (they're in short supply right now)

(I'm currently watching back-to-back Father Ted in the evenings)(and I recently bought Meet Joe Black, and Local Hero)

you have a very creative imagination, but rarely a lack of caffeine!

Have you seen the original? (Death takes a Holiday)

I, Like The View said...

no, but I've read Reaper Man by Terry Pratchett. . .

(that's how I think of Death, as Terry P portrays him)

. . .and I have Wim Wenders' Wings of Desire (in German, with subtitles)(altho that's about angels)
