but first. . . 70/30

there is an advert to be found in a certain pink broadsheet for a certain company which features a certain man playing a certain game, and the fact that he always has a back-up plan* (30%) if his plan (70%) doesn't work out. . .

SHE said something similar to me last week. . .

. . .about my lack of. . .

(*now, I've never had one of those, because I always believed that what I was doing was the right thing and that "it" would work out) (but "it" didn't)

(. . .so SHE didn't think I had been very good at making decisions!)

now, however, I need one (a back-up plan, cos some of the decisions are not within my control anymore)

so I have one!
.
ta-da

*feels vaguely smug*

30/70?

I was thinkin' it was 10/90.

90% MY attitude
10% things actually happenin'

*shrugs*

Actually, I suck at plans and do much better when I just get tossed in the deep end of the pool.
Swim or drown--quick.....choose!

<---likes the deep end of the pool, go figure!

I'm not very good at drowning

and that is how I learnt to swim, when I was four - my mother threw me in the deep end and my rubber ring came off and she stood at the side watching me swallow water and struggle to stay afloat on my own and eventually I reached the side and climbed out

*goes off to look for a new attitude*

SHE needs a swift kick in the ass, IMHO.

actually, SHE was right - I never anticipate the emotional reaction of my decisions. . .

. . .mine or other people's

but how can you anticipate an emotion? that's what I wanna know
