nothing really matters

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide,
No escape from reality
Open your eyes,
Look up to the skies and see,
I'm just a poor girl,
I need no sympathy
Because I'm easy come, easy go,
Little high, very low
Any way the wind blows
Doesn't really matter to me, to me

Mama, just killed a man,
Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he's dead
Mama, life had just begun
But now I've gone and thrown it all away

Mama, ooh,
Didn't mean to make you cry
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters

Too late, my time has come
Sends shivers down my spine,
Body's aching all the time

Goodbye, ev'rybody,
I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth

Mama, ooh, I don't want to die
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all

I see a little silhouetto of a man
Scaramouche, Scaramouche,
Will you do the fandango?
Thunderbolt and lightning,
Very, very fright'ning me

(Galileo)
Galileo
(Galileo)
Galileo, Galileo figaro
Magnifico

I'm just a poor girl and nobody loves me
She's just a poor girl from a poor family
Spare her her life from this monstrosity

Easy come, easy go, will you let me go?
Bismillah!
No, we will not let you go
(Let her go!)
Bismillah!
We will not let you go
(Let her go!)
Bismillah!
We will not let you go
(Let me go)
Will not let you go
(Let me go)
Will not let you go
(Let me go)
Ah

No, no, no, no, no, no, no!
(Oh mama mia, mama mia)
Mama mia, let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside
For me, for me, for me

So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye
So you think you can love me and leave me to die
Oh, baby, can't do this to me, baby
Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here

Nothing really matters,
Anyone can see
Nothing really matters
Nothing really matters to me

Any way the wind blows. . .

Welcome back.
I am not joining in the singing. Definitely not.
No matter how much you beg.
Stop it.

It's YOU! lalalalalalalalaaaaaa!

(no one can escape the horse and her unashamedly stalkerish ways)

well thank you. . . and thank you also for the three exclamation marks chez toi, vicus - the excessive punctuation made me smile more than any quantity of the pills I'm currently throwing down my throat

but are you sure you don't want me to grovel? you're probably right. . .

. . . it's not very ladylike (I bow to your superior knowledge in these matters)(or curtesy, whatever)(just blame the drugs, I am)

thanks for joining in zig! it's one of those songs that needs a whole chorus of people, isn't it (can't remember if it was in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, or Wayne's World - but that scene in the car is my idea of Rhapsody heaven. . . actually, I'm now having a bit of a Keanu moment

*swoons*

think he was Bill or Ted, and Wayne wasn't my type at all actually)(just blame the drugs, I am)

horse, sweetie, of course it's me! altho, I'm not quite the same me as I was before (just blame the drugs - I am)

about the drugs - they are giving me short and long term memory loss (one of the side effects)(or two, depending on how you think of moemory processing and recall)(so that's three at least, if you studied as much neurophysiology as I did, and more than three if you either paid more attention in the lectures, or spent longer in the library than I did)(or used your time more productively when you were there)(which wouldn't have been difficult)(to use your time more productively than I did) so you'll have to forgive me if I keep repeating myself, only I can't remember what's going on or what I've said to whom

Keanu was Ted Theodore Logan and the famous rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody was in Wayne's World. Either way, you're watching a fabulous film.

Drugs? As a long time member of the better living through chemistry, my I bid you a very fond: "I had a blunt pencil but the skunk told me that bowling was twenty-three."

I, Like The View said...
