how are you feeling today?

good news - it's ok to be sad

(obviously, it's grand if you're cheery!)

I think we kind of knew that tho, didn't we. . . it makes sense really

I would debate this topic in greater detail (you lucky lucky people you), but firstly I need some coffee,
so read this

and be happy being sad
- or just be happy -
until my return

Up and down, is how I feel, just up and down.

I hope it's balancing out. . .

(next Monday is that Miserable Monday - you know, the supposed day of the year when everything becomes overwhelming; I thought I'd get it over and done with today!)

I used to love see-saws, when I was little

Sounds like a four letter word list kinda day!

k....

Worm
Monk
Jute

Bunny!!! (five letters, but it makes me smile--so it can stay...for today...)

I, Like The View said...

how about HARE instead of bunny?

!

(hare fits the poem for the day too. . . as well as bunnies)(and you're always welcome to include as many words as you WISH THAT that DONT HAVE FOUR letters - cos there're no rules really!)

I've had two cups, but they're very large cups so really it's like 5 so far...

Jerome Wakefield is a good guy. I just clicked through and watched the video on his home page where he talks about the excessive diagnosis of depression since 1980.

how did you know I needed more coffee

when I was in my early 20s...a friend cross stitched that for me...in blue...with a lovely rainbow...It hung in my kitchen for years.

I should hang it back up again soon.

A few years ago I went to my doctor and complained that my bachache, painful foot, sore tongue and one or two other persistant and uncomfortable ailments were making me feel tired and miserable. She said she thought I was a bit depressed and offered me antidepressants.
I couldn't see why antidepressants would make my back, feet, tongue and other problems feel any better!
Hmm.

I completely go along with the idea that some sadness is useful and necessary.
But not too much.
And I do feel that constant happiness is unattainable and to desire it is unrealistic.
That was a very interesting article.

Yup--got here via counting to three and then scrolling up! HA!!

And I'm thinkin' I'm with Mig mostly.
I certainly did NOT take up the gastro doc when he suggested anti-depressants. A GASTRO doc! Sheeeeeeeeshhhhhh.

I'm of the belief gastro folks ought not be offering up psychotropic medications--colour me silly......
