"nuts. . .

. . .whole hazelnuts!
somebody take 'em
'n' dey cover 'em in chocolate"
.

(one nut covered in chocolate)

as you (may) know (it depends how far back you are, and whether you've been paying attention or scribbling doodles in your margins), I've only recently arrived where I am (XCH's rather-swish-it-has-to-be-said, not-quite-penthouse, thank-you-very-much-but-it's-not-my-home bachelor pad) and he only recently left

now, on the household front (where I have some experience, 'cos I don't on the bachelor bit, and I've lived in a "flat", but not an "apartment" - it's very important to get the terminology right) (apparently) (which is proving quite challenging for a girl whose brain was recently induced to seizure and currently has a dictionary of blanks instead of her normal semantic recall) apart from the fact he never seems to clean his fridge, he doesn't really do grocery shopping either. . .

such a bloke (I digress)
(but we'll let him off, just for the moment)
(digressing again) (where were we?)
(oh! I remember, XCH's pad
thinking about nutrition)

however, he survives (nutritionally, at least) on two staple items: potatoes (he's Irish) and chocolate

whilst he doesn't share the former with anyone (mainly because he cooks and eats them all at every meal, so there are none left - altho he will share them with you if you turn up just before, or during, the meal, but that's another story completely) (cos I can see you're loosing both the plot and the will to live while I rattle on aimlessly) (nice doodle tho!), I'm sure he won't mind me sharing the latter with you (yes! YOU!!), he's a generous sort. . .

and for anyone on a diet, here's a different kind of ripple:
.

“Each time a man stands up for an ideal
or acts to improve the lot of others
or strikes out against injustice,
he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope,
and crossing each other
from a million different centers of energy and daring,
those ripples build a current
that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.”-

I have now defined perspicacity over at my place. Dictionary.com may be a site you'd find useful at the moment.

chocolate and potatoes - I could live with that :)

As long as I had a nice bottle of something to wash them down with.
