for vicus and shot

(and vicus, I don't do custard powder - I make my own with sugar beaten into eggs yolks whisked into warmed milk and then brought back to the boil with vigorous stirring to prevent lumps) (tastes delicious cold too)

that sounds like a recipe for sweet srambled eggs!

Ooh, marmite. Yum!

And, imho, custard is always best served chilled.

*gak*

My apologies--some things just should NOT happen. LOL
(Marmite is one of 'em!)

So then, yes, it is a construction related product? ;-P

Eggs and milk. I think those are animal products, so Vicus isn't allowed any custard with his Marmite sandwiches.

Thank you ILTV. You are too kind. It would be churlish to comment on the squeezed marmite - I find it much too messy, the messiest foodstuff since childhood golden syrup which came in a tin.
Dave is partially correct (I suppose that is the best we can hope for). I don't eat eggs. It is not, however, a matter of being allowed. Who is going to stop me? He sounds like some sort of priest.
I shall, however, be careful about future requests. You have gone to too much trouble.
I was curious about the web sites mentioned at the foot of the picture. To the best of my recollection, I have never been tessellated.

I think you'll find you were tessellated at your bar mitzvah, Vicus.

I, Like The View said...

I find tessellation more fun in 2s, personally

you boys, for example, fit very nicely together

:-)

shot the original stuff in a glass jar is thick and very very sticky - you could barely get it off your knife to spread on your bread - so it made a perfect school lunchbox sandwich filling, and your two pieces of bread stayed glued together all morning (unless, like mel, you dodn't like marmite)(it's a little like that German food product I was on about the other day - the one I had in hard boiled eggs in Dusseldorf, Maggi)

mel yup - you either love it or hate it!

steg you obviously love it! I like it best on white toast with lots of butter too

and I too prefer cold custard, but only properly made custard (thinking of that, I now have a hankering for trifle. . .)

ziggz my mother used to mix up scrambled eggs, grilled flaked smoked haddock and rice and call it something foreign (that posh people in big country manors in 1930s costume dramas have for breakfast)(kedgeri, I think)

'boys'?!!

I, Like The View said...

how about gents then*?!?!?!? (somehow I don't see the dear sweet one as a "chap")

*I think you two are both too young to be gents, actually, but that's only my opinion - and it does sound a little like a public convenience. . .

(and one could hardly call vicus a convenience now, could one)

<---seriously.....

<--- retrieving the Brit for translation!

Mel said...

The Brit has successfully translated for me. I now know what trifle is AND he says 'kedgree' is 'quite right'. :-)

(he claims it's very nice but a weird thing to have for breakfast)

I personally just feel like barfing......LOL

Himself asks if any of you lot have tried patum peperium (more barfing material methinks..LOL)
