Fuzzy Felt for the uninitiated

Fuzzy Felt: a history

mine (from my childhood) came in a cardboard box, altho I did buy this special edition in a tin to celebrate the FF 50th anniversary; kids of today can put their collection in a wooden box:
I do feature it sometimes - you might not notice. . .
.

there's even an online version, but the shapes aren't right - it's not fuzzy felt if the shapes aren't right! - these are the right shapes:
.
.
and for anyone who needs a peck on the cheek today, here's some fuzzy lovin'. . .

.
*mwah mwah*

THE FEELING
.
Give me the song and I'll sing it like I mean it
Give me the words and I'll say them like I mean it
'Cos you got my heart in a headlock
You stopped the blood and made my head soft
And god knows
You got me sewn
.
Danny boy, don't be afraid, to shake that ass, and misbehave
Danny boy, I know you got time, but what are you waiting for,
Anyway the dust may just blow away, if you wait for a windy day
But you may find the chance has passed you by
.
I can't do the walk
I can't do the talk
I can't be your friend
Unless I pretend

So give me the song and I'll sing it like I mean it
So give me the words and I'll say them like I mean it
'Cos you got my heart in a headlock
You stopped the blood and made my head soft
And god knows
You got me sewn
.
Danny boy, don't be a fool
Take upon to break a rule
Danny boy you're looking so low
You looking like the dead grown old. . .

I wouldn't mind being felt occasionally.

Although wikipedia tells of the year fuzzy felts were launched, it fails to mention that I was born later that same year.
Still, I'm well fuzzed about it :)

We didn't have Fuzzy Felt when I was a kid. We did have something called Patch Pictures which involved sticking pre-cut lumps of felt onto a pre-drawn outlines of the Muppets. Not very creative - but I loved them. Sad, eh?

rol no, not really. . . games and toys that build hand-eye coordination and shape/colour matching and visualisation are challenging to small children and enjoyable - and one of the things about being a child is being pleased about your succeeses, growing confident and experiencing satisfaction

not very creative to the adult mind, but fun to the child

and even when the child has outgrown the initial challenge, it's pleasing to revisit it and know you can master it easily

(obviously this applies to many things in adult life as well)

I felt a bit fuzzy this morning - must have been that last whisky.

I used to share a 30-mile lift to work with a Cohen fan. By the time we got out at the other end I was ready to kill myself and the rest of the human race. Just don't get the appeal.

I always found Leonard Cohen's songs to be filled with a rapturous love of women. Works for me...

They were playin' with the fuzzy felt---they're not foolin' me..LOL

For some reason, fuzzy felt never caught on over here.
But that vinyl stuff did--make your scenery, dress the person stuff....I got in all kindsa troubles for stickin' 'em on windows.
Now they have those jelly thingies.
Ohhhhhhhhhh.....and I got a bunch of 'em for the holidays!

*wonderin' where I stuck those jelly thingies.....*

Not bothered about vicus, just want to be doing the rapturous female thang. Now keep stickin' those jelly thingies, y'all.
