.
The long and winding road
That leads to your door
Will never disappear
I've seen that road before
It always leads me here
Leads me to you door

The wild and windy night
That the rain washed away
Has left a pool of tears
Crying for the day
Why leave me standing here
Let me know the way

Many times I've been alone
And many times I've cried
Any way you'll never know
The many ways I've tried

But still they lead me back
To the long winding road
You left me standing here
A long long time ago
Don't leave me waiting here
Lead me to your door
.

Tomorrow I will be on the long and winding road that leads me home. Where I can recuperate from my 'break'. Huzzah!

What a great song to start my morning with ma'am.

I'm thinkin' I can thank Mig for that one......oh, and the Beatles, of course....

G'morning to you!

I love that song. Thank you for posting it! Now, I need to let you know that the road in your picture is as straight as Dubya...

When I was VERY young and in school, we were coving poetry and people were asked to bring examples. I brought those lyrics. The teacher asked me what they meant and I admitted, "I have no idea." (I mean I was REALLY young, just liked the Beatles)

Thanks for the lovely song.

Do you know, I've never actually known what all the lyrics were.
I was old before my time - couldn't understand the words!
