well, I was going to tell you about what's going on inside my head, and for some reason this song sprung up instead, and bones aren't my best subject as we near Valentine's Day, so I'll just move smoothly on - to the fact I really enjoyed the The Singing Detective and loved the soundtrack and bought it and listened to it all the time until it was burgled (when we were burgled and it was amongst the things that were stolen) (the day we got back from our honeymoon) and years later I realised I missed it and wanted to purchase it again and eventually XCH found a sort of version of it on eBay but it didn't have many of my favourite songs on it - my most favourite of all being something that now slips my mind by Ella and The Ink Spots - but it came as a tape and now I don't have a tape player (and anyhow all my music is in a box in the cellar!) and that made me think of a song I heard in a shop yesterday - "Whistle for Will" by a band called Hot Chip from their album Made In The Dark which has a cool cover with a design in bronze on a background of aqua which reminded me of the end papers for one of the books I bound last year (one of the Kathleen Raines) and it also made me think of the loft that XCH and I did in the last house but one which had an en-suite bathroom for which I found some delightful mosaic glass tiles in various shades of aqua with streaks of copper running thru them and I'd also found some bathroom "accessories" (you know, soap dish and cabinet handles) in a clear resin with flakes of copper randomly "floating" in the resin and that made me think about thoughts which randomly float about and how I am exhausted right now and need a break which I'm having next week with Smallest Person and then XCH texted from South Africa to say that Middle One went somewhere where he got to stroke a cheetah and put on a leather glove and hold an eagle and SP was kind of upset - not in a jealous way - but also kind of happy - not in a smug way - that she and I are going away next week and The Teen - who chose to go nowhere with anybody - just said that he doesn't miss being "stalked" by MO and I realised that sadness and anger can eat away at you leaving a big festering hole if you'll let them or can become so intense that they collapse in on themselves a little like Black Holes and that can suck the light out of the rest of your life - or you can just accept them instead of fighting them and be happy for the happy times and know inside of your heart of hearts that happy times will possibly come again and if you let go some of the feelings they spread out instead of being so intense and become more bearable but why do we never let go of love and happiness and if someone x-rayed me right now what would they see inside - the strength that holds me together - or the emotions that are festering away like a cancer in my bones - a broken heart held carefully together by intricate stitches and is slowly mending - or just an ordinary body of an ordinary person living an ordinary life, because let's face it nothing unusual has really happened to me even tho it doesn't feel right and I'll get there and so will XCH and so will Smallest Person, Middle One and The Teen and a blog and a piece of writing is like an x-ray - a snapshot in time (and there will always be more of that)

won't there

would be nice to take a step back and investigate what's really going on inside wouldn't it?
(X)
erm, I'm not sure about that right now - and you can't get cosmetic lobotomys, apparently
but the hug and the kiss did the trick, ta muchly!
But what if all one has left is the sadness and anger? If one were to give those up, one would just disappear into the ether, wouldn't one?
I think I might need an X-ray to figure out where my nose went. C:)
Love.....pushing it's way out from under the weight of what is that was never 'suppose' to be...
That's what I see.
That's what I hear.
And that's what I 'feel' when I come here.....love trying to push it's way through the muck and mire....
((((((( ILTV ))))))))))
Still.....
29 34, eh?
I have a few of those in the closet......well worn, soft and ragged in places.
Comfy.
Took forever to get 'em to that state.....lots of aggitation, lots of spin drys, lots of tumbles....and a few hangin' out to dry sessions. But they have arrived! ;-)
(a cheetah and an eagle......wow!)
(and you and SP on holiday--wow!)
(((((((( ILTV )))))))))
Have a lovely break.
Wow,stroking cheetahs! Fabulous!
I think that kind of xray would show broken bits and mended bits and festering bits and little suns and tiny black holes and all those things in any person.
