on not being a girl, for everyone who likes Billy

She can kill with a smile
She can wound with her eyes
She can ruin your faith with her casual lies
And she only reveals what she wants you to see
She hides like a child,
But she's always a woman to me
.
She can lead you to love
She can take you or leave you
She can ask for the truth
But she'll never believe
And she'll take what you give her, as long as it's free
Yeah, she steals like a thief
But she's always a woman to me
.
Oh-she takes care of herself
She can wait if she wants
She's ahead of her time

Oh-and she never gives out
And she never gives in
She just changes her mind
.
And she'll promise you more
Than the Garden of Eden
Then she'll carelessly cut you
And laugh while you're bleedin'
But she'll bring out the best
And the worst you can be
Blame it all on yourself
'Cause she's always a woman to me

Oh-she takes care of herself
She can wait if she wants
She's ahead of her time

Oh-and she never gives out
And she never gives in
She just changes her mind

She is frequently kind
And she's suddenly cruel
She can do as she pleases
She's nobody's fool
And she can't be convicted
She's earned her degree
And the most she will do
Is throw shadows at you
But she's always a woman to me
Mmm
.

If only Billy was a little more PC..these lyrics are dangerously close to be indictable.

I suspect his Uptown Girl enjoys throwing it in his face with her fancy schmancy workout commercials..
eat yer heart out loser!

Quit harrassing me or I'll get my buddy Chuck Norris to kick yer ass.

I've never had a woman throw shadows at me (that I know of). I suppose that couldn't hurt very much, physically. Is it some sort of psychological attack?

Is it Friday yet?

I never know what to say to song lyrics. They're not your thoughts, after all. So I'm not going to say anything in future when that's all you post up.

That doesn't mean that I'm not coming here, or reading your blog, just that I have nothing to comment.

(and, dear dear dave, they do reflect my thoughts actually. . . they are not random, unlike the musing of my brain which you sometimes don't comment on anyhow)(oh! I'm fiesty today, huh. . .)

;-D

They might reflect your thoughts, but they aren't your words. And I'm sure that some parts of the songs don't mean exactly what you're currently thinking, and I never know which bit is which.

And one part of my medical condition, which the GP spotted, is irritability and a short temper (which is so unlike me) so don't get into a fight with me at the moment.

I'm signed off sick, with the one word 'bonkers' on the note.
