water music

KLIMPT

and it reminds me of
ARTHUR RACKHAM

. . .and
JESSIE WILCOX SMITH
.

I digress. . .

now, this (take your pick - I can't choose) has been one of my favourite pieces of music, since I was 17 and a boy who was in love with me gave me the record (well, a record - I suspect there were/are many thousand versions of it)
.
and you all know how much I love stories (telling them and reading them)

and I love receiving music too. . .

Ohhhh....dunno that I could pick, either. So far....my favorite is the one I'm listening to!

And the artwork is wonderful. I especially like Gustav Klimpt for some reason.
Maybe it's the black and white?

I thought the illustration was from Kingsley's The Water Babies but I see the illustrator was Harry G Theaker. I love that book.

How lovely!
Three of my favourite illustrators and artist (Did Klimt illustrate? I can't remember)
And Scherazade was on the first clasical album I ever had. (The Eugene Ormandy version :)
Delectation indeed :)
