I'm confused. . .

when I was young, why was I supposed to be a brave little soldier (which was a good thing) (apparently)

. . .at least as a (relatively) (it's all relative, really) grown-up person, I can pick and choose (my attitude?) (my choices?) myself

Yup, I'm a brave little trooper.
That's by my own choosing, today. It's a great defense mechanism--mostly cuz I don't like fear AT all.

But you already knew that......
